Towards Alleviating Menstrual Poverty: World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025.

In the 21st century, a lot of women and girls do not have access to menstrual care products. As a result of this lack, they get anxious when it gets to that time of the month when they are about to experience their monthly flow. To commemorate the World Menstrual Hygiene Day, She Can Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative, conducted an outreach where we sensitized over 300 girls about menstrual hygiene, menstrual poverty and also shared menstrual care products.

Summer Skill Acquisition Scholarship.

At She Can Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative, we believe in empowering girls with necessary skills that they need to thrive in all areas of life. This summer, we organized a skill acquisition program, where we collaborated with Zinoms Bakery to sponsor four girls. The participants were given hands on training on the techniques of baking various pastries and Nigerian snacks, while teaching them how to convert this skill into a profitable business.

To promote this cause, on 4th February, 2025, we conducted an impactful outreach focused on Personal Development and A Girl’s Guide to Planning- a session designed to inspire, educate and uplift young girls, helping them map out their dreams and build confidence to achieve them.
